If only life were as simple as one desired,
loyalty would beget loyalty,
all hardwork would bring guaranteed results,
sincerity would be cherished for it’s nobility !

Alas ! Life is all else but fair
and with caution one must tread on it’s path,
for people rarely appreciate
a simple, pure and gentle loving heart.

Play with it,fool around and break it
now thats what in a skip of a heartbeat they’d do,
but nuture it, rever it and value it
is a response they’d seldom choose!

So look out for your heart my dear friend,
don’t wear it so easily on your sleeves,
there’s no one who’ll protect it unless you do,
rather they’d use it for as long as they please!
